01 / The starting point

Answer the first question without losing the person.

The AI Receptionist was built for The AI Business Lab’s own phone enquiries. Its role is to begin a useful conversation, understand what the caller needs and pass the important information to Sarah-Jane.

The voice is a digital twin named SJ. Identifying itself clearly is part of the opening, not something the caller has to discover.

02 / The build

A conversation, then a useful summary.

The supplied project describes an AI voice that asks about the caller’s business, responds within its brief and sends a text summary after the call.

  • Introduces itself as Sarah-Jane’s digital twin at the start.
  • Asks about the caller’s business and enquiry.
  • Uses short conversational turns rather than long scripted speeches.
  • Sends the caller’s need and urgency for Sarah-Jane to follow up personally.
03 / The design question

Be explicit about where the AI’s job ends.

The project notes put the operating rules at the centre of the build: do not pretend to be human, do not invent a price and know when to involve the person.

The useful result is not simply an answered call. It is a bounded first interaction that leaves the business owner with the information needed for the next conversation.

Explore the possibility

What would a useful first response look like in your business?

Voice is one option. The same design questions apply to written enquiries and internal requests: what can the system answer, what should it collect and when must a person review or respond?

The image is a supplied illustrative phone-screen detail, not a client testimonial. No simultaneous-call capacity or business outcome is claimed. Contact Sarah-Jane if you would like to discuss the project; no public demo number is listed.
