The AI Business Lab is an AI strategy, governance and implementation consultancy based in Greater Sydney, Australia. We help business leaders, boards and industry associations decide what AI means for their people, their liability and their margins, then we build the systems that make it real. Founded by Sarah-Jane Kavanagh in 2023. We work with clients across Australia and New Zealand.
Three things. We design AI strategy at the decision layer, where adoption succeeds or fails. We build governance that satisfies boards, insurers and regulators. And we deploy working AI systems rather than pilots that stall. Most engagements include all three.

It serves more than 3,000 practitioners for Australia's peak building design body, at a 71 per cent course completion rate against an industry average below 30 per cent. Built inside one of the most heavily regulated, change resistant industries in the country.
Both. Engagements run from half day intensives and use case workshops through to six week advisory sprints, staff training, and launch packages for organisations standing up an internal AI council.
